I Once Dreamed of a God

I once dreamed of a god,
Who knew all of my thoughts
And needs like his own;
Who would be fierce and cutting like a warrior,
Yet gentle and meek as a poet.
Who would be graceful in his demeanour,
And beautiful like an ancient deity.
Who would take me away
From all the world's misery,
Love me passionately
And have lewd thoughts
At the mere sight of me.
I will not feign,
I have a say in heavenly matters,
But I know the dream came true,
And the god, He was you.
